This is the “Soft Landing Program Life Sciences”, a tailor-made program, specifically designed for Life Sciences companies willing to expand in the metropolitan area of Milano, jointly developed by Milano&Partners, Assolombarda, Lendlease, and Arexpo. Thanks to its comprehensive approach, this is one of the most advanced solutions in the international landscape.

The Soft Landing Program’s team is the one-stop-shop supporting Life Sciences companies throughout the whole investment project, with the goal of generating as much added value as possible from their local expansion, fostering a full integration within the local community, and ultimately help them access the European market. On top of that, it gives companies and professionals the opportunity of attending industry and innovation-specific events and offers their international talents customized support while relocating in the Region.

MIND – Milano Innovation District, born on the premises of Expo 2015, is a 1 million sqm innovation district. The site, owned by Arexpo, will host over 60,000 people/day by 2026. The district is where Lendlease, an Australian Real-Estate multinational, is currently delivering 20,000 sqm of offices and mixed use with later stages (starting from 2025) providing more than 350,000 sqm of office and laboratory space, over 1,000 apartments and living solutions, and up to 60,000 sqm of retail and services spaces.
Moreover, the district boasts the presence of the University of Milano Statale, The Polytechnic University of Milano, the Galeazzi Hospital, Human Technopole and Fondazione Triulza, corporates, accelerators, incubators and the business community of Federated Innovation@MINDTM.
The “Soft Landing Program Life Sciences” was developed by Milano&Partners, Assolombarda, and Lendlease with the support of the advisory firm PlusValue, aiming to attract new Life Science companies and their employees in the area and support their landing, consistently with the MIND’s project objectives – indeed, the program will be piloted in the district in the coming months.
Milano&Partners is the official promotional agency of the City of Milano. It was created by the Municipality of Milano and the Milano Monza Brianza Lodi Chamber of Commerce to strengthen leisure and MICE tourism, attract direct investments from abroad and nourish the innovation ecosystem of the metropolis, assisting international students and talents who come to live in Milano.
Its Foreign Direct Investment Attraction Unit supports the soft landing of international companies in the metropolitan area with a broad offer of free of charge services and promotes Milano’s excellence by attracting innovation and talents, boosting its competitive environment.

Assolombarda is the association which gathers the companies operating in the Metropolitan City of Milano and in the provinces of Lodi, Monza-Brianza and Pavia. Part of Confindustria (the Italian Entrepreneurial Association), it is the largest territorial body of the entire entrepreneurial system in the country. It advocates for the interests of more than 7,000 companies (employing 412,000 people) and provides a broad range of specialized services. About over 750 of its associates operate in the Life Sciences industry.
