The conference “Italy – USA: International Cooperation on Emerging Biotechnologies and Life Sciences” was held in Rome at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the first meeting between institutions and companies
The pandemic has demonstrated that biotechnology and life sciences are sectors of strategic interest related to national security, where the role of governments remains crucial in providing leadership and guidance.
Against this backdrop, it is imperative to develop strategic international partnerships with allies and like-minded countries. For this reason, the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has decided to host the conference “Italy – USA: International Cooperation on Emerging Biotechnologies and Life Sciences” in Rome on 14 November.
This is the first high-level institutional and corporate meeting between Italian and US players active in biotechnology and life sciences. The conference aims to launch a long-term bilateral dialogue on emerging biotechnologies and life sciences, focusing in particular on international cooperation strategies, funding opportunities and research and development models.
