Biography
Francesco Dentali is the National President of FADOI (Federazione delle Associazioni dei Dirigenti Ospedalieri Internisti) and he has been the past Director of the Clinical Research Department of FADOI (2018-2020). He is currently the Medical Director of the Ospedale di Circolo and Fondazione Macchi of Varese. From 2020 Dentali is the Director of the Struttura Complessa di Medicina Genrale and from 2022 he is the Director of the Medical Area Department at ASST Sette Laghi of Varese. Between 2020-2021, he took a course in Management Training as “Complex Structure Manager” at LIUC Business School and a second level Master’s degree in Management of Health Care Companies at EMMAS SDA Bocconi.
During the Covid-19 years, he has been the Director of the Area Covid-19 and the Area of Observation and High Intensity Medicine. He was Clinical Research Fellow in Hematology at the Faculty of Health Sciences, McMaster University, Hamilton, in Canada. Dentali is also a member of National and International Societies for the study of thrombosis and hemostasis and in 2017-2018 he was the Secretary of SISET (Italian Society for the Study of Hemostasis and Thrombosis). Most of his numerous publications are focused on thrombosis and hemostasis. He was the winner of the Young Investigator Award of the Italian Society of Internal Medicine in 2006 and of the CSL Behring – Prof. Heimburger Award in 2009.
