Biography
Dario Manfellotto is Professor of Internal Medicine and Geriatric Nephrology at Sapienza University of Rome and the Member of the Scientific Advisory Board of Fatebenefratelli Hospital, Gemelli-Isola, Rome. He specialized in Internal Medicine and Nephrology. Manfellotto is also the President of FADOI (Federazione delle Associazioni dei Dirigenti Ospedalieri Internisti) (2023-2025), and the Past President of the foundation (2020-2022). As a Scientific Journalist, Manfellotto has been a WHO Consultant for Health Information and Education.
He was the author of many scientific publications on national and international journals, mainly on high blood pressure, gestational hypertension, renal diseases, hydro-electrolytic and acid-base disorders, amyloidosis, genetics of complex diseases and rare diseases, mechanisms and treatment of thrombosis, health communication and education, health care organization, biomedical research methodology. Manfellotto has received the International Life Award for scientific communication by “The ageing society” (October 27, 2001).
