Biography
Degree in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Naples, and board of Oncology and then of Hematology at the University of Bologna, Carmine Pinto is Director of Medical Oncology Unit of the AUSL-IRCCS of Reggio Emilia. Member of several national and international scientific societies, from November 2014 to October 2017 he was National President of the Italian Association of Medical Oncology (AIOM), and currently President of the Federation of Italian Cooperative Oncology Groups (FICOG).
Author of over 250 scientific publications in national and international journals and member of different scientific societies such as the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO). Reviewer of international research projects for Cancer Research Campaign (CRC), Clinical Trials Committee of the United Kingdom and the French Institute National du Cancer (INCa). He has been responsible for the conduction of over 90 clinical and translational studies.
